Earlier, in the match, asked to bat Delhi Capitals lost Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan early before Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant chipped in with cameos. Ravichandran Ashwin tried to help the cause with the bat as he hit 12 runs off nine deliveries before he tried to hit a shot from the cue-end off the bat from Trent Boult’s delivery and Krunal Pandya completed a tumbling catch.

Pandya was fielding at long off while Kieron Pollard was at long-on but the former showed brilliant athleticism as he tumbled after completing the catch. It was the third wicket for Trent Bout in the match.

Delhi Capitals were restricted to 110/9 in the stipulated 20 overs with Boult being the pick of the bowlers for Mumbai Indians.
