On the last day, Gloucestershire needs 59 runs to win with four wickets in hand. Sussex would want Ishant to get fit, as they have a likely chance of winning this contest.

Ishant has struggled in this contest throughout, though. He went wicketless in the first innings in 14 overs he bowled. However, he has had enjoyed success in first two games of the season. In the first tie against Warwickshire, he scalped five wickets, and also scored 22 runs.

In the second contest apart from scalping three wickets, he also scored his maiden first-class half-century, as he scored 66 runs.

Ishant will continue playing for Sussex for upcoming contests, and the club would hope for Ishant getting fit soon, if not for the final day of the ongoing game.
