Yuzvendra Chahal, the leg-spinner from Indian National Cricket team, called for firm action against the infiltrators in the wake of the Pulwama attack last week.

Meanwhile, the recent Pulwama Terror attack has created a stir countrywide as a Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) rammed an explosives-laden car into a CRPF bus, killing at least 40 personnel and leaving many critically wounded. On the back of it, India have cut several ties with the neighbouring country. Veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has called for a boycott of Pakistan match to show their protest. On the other hand, Chetan Chauhan wants India to put pressure on ICC threatening to boycott the whole event.

Need for a firm action

The bus was on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Lethpora town, about 30 km from Srinagar when the attack took place. The entire nation mourned the death of their brave sons who lost thier lives in the Terror attack. Following the attack, India swiftly withdrew Pakistan’s Most Favoured Nation status, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi warned that the perpetrators of the attack would pay a hefty price. Speaking ahead of the Sunday’s clash, Yuzvendra Chahal noted that boycotting Pakistan in the World Cup is not in their hands. However, he feels the infiltrators should face severe actions while putting it forward that all Pakistani people are not bad. Going by the schedule, India will clash against Pakistan on June 16 at Manchester in the showpiece event.

It’s not in our hands, if BCCI says, we will play if they say no then we won’t. I think it is high time, we need to take firm action. I am not saying all people there(Pakistan) are at fault but those who are responsible should be acted against,” Yuzvendra Chahal said to ANI.
Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal is currently gearing up for the upcoming series against Australia that starts from February 24. After spending four months in the southern hemisphere, the men in blues will resume action in their home soil. Virat Kohli & Co will play three T20Is followed by five ODIs as they gear up for the World Cup in May.
