England’s lethal bowler, James Anderson is eyeing a return to international cricket. Anderson hopes of returning to the side in England’s tour to Sri Lanka next month. He suffered a rib injury last month and was away from England’s triumph over South Africa away from home. England will take on Sri Lanka in two Tests from March 19.

James Anderson has been one of the best bowlers for England, especially in Test cricket. He is one of the most successful Test bowlers of world cricket. Jimmy is now in the latter stage of his career and injuries will seem to frustrate him time and again. But, at this age too, he is one of the most deadly bowlers for England. He is England’s all-time leading wicket-taker.

James Anderson Hopeful of Making a Quick Comeback

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Anderson said, “I’ve been training for a few weeks now, getting my bowling back up to speed, and I feel really good. The aim for me is to get fit for whatever is next and at the moment that is Sri Lanka. With a broken bone you are just waiting for that to heal, you’ve not lost any fitness.”

Anderson is one of the most prolific bowlers for England. Anderson is the all-time leading wicket-taker among fast bowlers surpassing Glenn McGrath (563 wickets) and holds the record of most wickets for England in both Test and ODI cricket. He is the only English bowler, and the 6th overall, to go past 500 Test wickets.

Jimmy has a total of 584 wickets to his name in the 151 Test games he has played for England so far. In ODIs, he has clinched a total of 269 wickets in 194 games. His T20I career hasn’t been long enough. He has played only 19 T20Is for England and picked 18 wickets.
