Australia’s all-rounder James Faulkner wants to get back his career on track as he aims to find his lost place into the Australian squad. Faulkner last played in the Australian’s yellow when he played an ODI against India. This was almost a year ago when he took the field at Vidharbha Cricket Association stadium on October 1, 2017. Meanwhile, James Faulkner was the hero in the final of the 2015 World Cup.

Thus, it has been a tough journey for the Australian all-rounder as he has spent most of his time on the sidelines because of the knee injury. However, James Faulkner has played for the Lancashire in the recent past.

Thus, his experience of the English conditions can come in handy for Australia. Furthermore, the next year the World Cup is going to be held in England.

“I’ve never given up hope of playing for Australia again,” he said as quoted by cricket.com.au.

“I think I can still offer something and my experience of English conditions will hopefully carry some weight.

“But I know that counts for nothing unless I can have strong season for Tasmania and that is my goal.

“I’d love to be back here helping us retain our World Cup. Winning man of the match three years ago was a career highlight and I’d love to repeat it.”

Meanwhile, Faulkner played for the Melbourne Stars for the period of seven years. Faulkner says his knee is in great condition and he feels looks forward to getting back on the field.

“I had a great seven years in Melbourne but it’s been great be back at home, surrounded by close friends and family,” Faulkner said.

“You do begin to doubt yourself when things aren’t going right on the pitch. Fortunately, I am not shy of talking about things with teammates and other players.

“My knee feels as good as it ever has and I also have a great support network around me who help keep me going and that is something I am very lucky to have.”

James Faulkner is just 28-years old. Thus, he can definitely get back into the Australian side. However, there is no denying the fact that a strong domestic performance is the only way back for the all-rounder.
