Talent can come from anywhere – Nita Ambani

Speaking at the Sports Business meet in London, Nita Ambani quoted that a talent like Jasprit Bumrah comes from anywhere and reach the highest point of the success. Then she revealed a transformational journey of the young cricketer, who is ruling the world at the moment with his heroics for the Indian National Cricket Team.

“Talent can come from anywhere and reach the pinnacle of success. I would like to share with you the transformational journey of a young boy who was discovered by Mumbai Indians from a small-time of India,” Nita Ambani said before the screen started displaying Bumrah’s inspirational journey.

“When he was five-year-old, I lost my husband,” recalled fast bowler’s mother Daljit Bumrah.

Jasprit joined in saying: “After that, we couldn’t afford anything. I had one pair of shoes. I used to have one pair of T-shirts. I used to wash them every day and use it again and again.

“So, as a child, you know you hear stories that sometimes these things happen that some people come and watch you and you get picked up like this. But it actually happened,” the 25-year-old pacer added.

Further, the mother of Jasprit Bumrah quoted that she couldn’t hold her tears when Jasprit Bumrah made his debut for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League.

“The first time when I saw him in that IPL match on TV, I couldn’t stop crying. He has seen me struggle financially and physically also,” she said.

Jasprit said, “All these tough times make you strong because you’ve seen tougher days before.”

Now, the flamboyant cricketer is one of the match-winners for the team, whose presence is of utmost important for the team, especially, in the pressure situations. All in all, it has been a great ride for him in international cricket.
