Former England skipper Michael Vaughan was all praise for Jasprit Bumrah after the latter’s impressive show in the second ODI against Australia.

No matter what the format is or what the conditions are, Jasprit Bumrah is showing absolutely no signs of stopping down. With every outing, the India pacer spearhead is enhancing his reputation as the best bowler in the world. Just a couple of months ago, Bumrah was all over the news after finishing the Test series in Australia as the highest wicket-taker. The right-arm pacer had taken 21 wickets as India beat Australia 2-1 to register their first-ever series win on the Australian soil.

Bumrah is now showcasing his expertise in limited-overs format. In the first T20I against the visitors, he had bowled stunningly, conceding just 16 off his four overs while picking up 3 wickets. He had bowled a super 19th over, conceding 2 and picking up 2 wickets as India nearly defended 126. On Tuesday, Bumrah impressed once again in the low-scoring thriller.

The right-arm pacer finished the game with impressive figures of 2 for just 29 off his ten overs as India beat Australia by 8 runs while defending 250 to go two nil up in the series. Bumrah was particularly impressive in the death over.

With the match evenly poised,  skipper Virat Kohli gave the ball to his go-to man in the 40th over and the latter did not disappoint. Bumrah conceded just three runs before conceding the same number of runs in the 42nd over to put a break on Australia’s scoring.

Kohli re-introduce Bumrah again in the 46th over and the latter rose up the expectation again. In the 46th over, he conceded just 1 run and picked up the wickets of Nathan Coulter-Nile and Pat Cummins. In his following over, he once again conceded just one run before Mohammed Shami and Vijay Shankar helped India win the game.

Following the game, Michael Vaughan took to Twitter to hail Bumrah, writing:

“Have to say @Jaspritbumrah93 is the best all round seam bowler across all formats & conditions right now …..”
