Team India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been a force to reckon with ever since he made his international debut. In a short span of time, the young bowler, who burst onto the scene playing for Mumbai Indians in the IPL, became one of the leading bowlers in the country across the formats. Currently, Bumrah is out of action as he continues to recover from his injury.

The 25-year-old Jasprit Bumrah sustained a minor stress fracture in his lower back in September which kept him out of the series against South Africa and Bangladesh. Many expected Jasprit Bumrah to return to action for the Test series against the Bangla Tigers but the management doesn’t want to risk him considering the ICC T20 World Cup looming ahead.

Bumrah to be out for this year

In a bid to regain fitness, Bumrah has started his training and kept the fans and followers informed with social media post on a regular basis. As he strives to attain fitness, the management is unlikely to rush him back to the side. They are keen to adopt a slow process with Jasprit Bumrah as the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia is looming ahead.

The top-ranked ODI bowler, as per reports in Mumbai Mirror, will not only be out of action for the West Indies series but will also miss the series against Sri Lanka. Bumrah is likely to return during the ODI series against Australia in January next year but that decision will be taken by the new selection committee picked after the upcoming BCCI AGM.

On the other hand, another star pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been out of the side post the ICC World Cup 2019. The Uttar Pradesh-born cricketer has returned to action in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the management is keeping a close eye on his progress before bringing him back into the set-up.
