West Indies made a great start to the day removing Rishabh Pant in the first ball. But Hanuma Vihari stood tall and partnered with Ravindra Jadeja and Ishant Sharma to register a monumental total. While he brought his maiden century, Ishant also scripted his first Test half-century. The pair added 112 runs for the eighth wicket to help India cross the 400-run mark.

Meanwhile, the climax came when Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah started the proceeding with the new ball. Bumrah stunned West Indies with a spectacular spell of fast bowling to dismantle the hosts in no time.

The young fast bowler became just the third Indian to get a hat-trick as he rattled the West Indies batting line-up reducing them to 22 for 5, with his fifth five-wicket haul in Tests, that came in just six overs. West Indies, however, staged a brief fightback led by Jason Holder and Shimron Hetmyer but stuttered eventually to 87 for 7 before the umpires called for the day.

Jasprit Bumrah continued from where he left off in Antigua and was unplayable from the onset. He got the ball to move both ways early on at a pace that the West Indian batsmen couldn’t counter. Bumrah reacted for the first time since his emphatic display of fast bowling. Taking to Twitter, he wrote that he won’t forget this ever.

“A day I won’t forget,” Bumrah tweeted.
