Team India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is all set to return to action when they host Sri Lanka in the three-match T20I series beginning from January 5 (Sunday). As he gears up for a comeback, Bumrah has revealed ways to get Australia’s Steve Smith out, who has been in stellar form in recent times since his return from suspension.

The No. 1 fast bowler last played during the series against West Indies just after the World Cup. Since then, he has been out of action due to lower back stress. The management has taken a slow and steady approach considering the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in Australia next year.

Jasprit Bumrah to return to action

Jasprit Bumrah will look to hit the strides right from the onset and lead the charge. Speaking on the eve of the game, the cricketer from Gujarat revealed ways to get Steve Smith out, who was also his first ODI wicket. He also said that it is essential to study the batsman to get him out.

“My first one-day wicket is Steve Smith. There’s no particular way that you get a batsman out. You study what the wicket is doing, then select the best option. What I look to do against any good batsman, is to have patience,” Bumrah said when he was asked how to dismiss Steve Smith.
