India’s ace paceman Jasprit Bumrah is all set to travel to the United Kingdom to consult his back injury. Bumrah was ruled out for the upcoming three-match Test series against South Africa due to minor stress fracture in his lower back. Subsequently, he was replaced by Umesh Yadav in the Indian squad.

As per a report in PTI, Bumrah will soon jet off to London where he will meet three expert doctors to discuss the recovery road. Bumrah is expected to be ruled out for three months. He is all set to miss the upcoming series against Bangladesh.

Jasprit Bumrah is all set to begin his rehabilitation.

The linchpin pacer was rested for the limited-overs leg on the West Indies tour. He had scalped 13 wickets in the two-Test matches against the Carribean nation. Furthermore, the gun pacer was also rested for the three-match T20I series against South Africa.

“The BCCI is sending Bumrah to London for further treatment on his stress fracture. The NCA head physiotherapist Ashish Kaushik will be accompanying him. The BCCI has fixed appointments with three different specialists to get multiple opinions,” Board functionary told PTI was quoted as saying by PTI.

Bumrah will like to make a strong comeback and he is expected to be back in action for the home series against New Zealand, which will take place next year. The talismanic bowler will like to recuperate as soon as possible to make a comeback.

Bumrah has taken giant strides since he has made his Test debut as he has scalped 62 wickets in only 12 Test matches. The Gujarat pacer is currently at number three position in the ICC Test rankings. On the other hand, he occupies the numero uno place in the ICC ODI rankings.

India and South Africa will play the first Test match at Visakhapatnam from October 2. The T20I series between the two teams had ended at 1-1.
