We will support Kashmiri People – Javed Miandad

In a video message shared on his social media accounts, Miandad affirmed that no one can separate Kashmir from Pakistan, and stressed that Kashmiris should be given their rights. He added he will stage a protest and highlight the Indian atrocities in the occupied valley.

“I will go to the border for peace. And also, I will call all the top people, the sportspeople and everyone. I will go there and tell everyone about peace. I will go with a peace flag. If these things did not stop then I will go border with anyone who will join me and after going there I will tell people that we want peace and we are with Kashmiri people,” Miandad said in a video he posted on his Twitter handle.

“I will take all the people from sports fraternity and all the people from all over the world, and I will go to the border and hoist a flag for peace. All the soldiers there will see how peaceful we are. I want India and Pakistan to end everything peaceful,” he said.

Well, it would be interesting to see when would they visit the border. Most probably, the former skipper of Pakistan, Shahid Afridi, who often spoke out on the issue would be one of the members to join the group of sports stars.

It is worth mentioning here that erstwhile skipper Shahid Afridi had earlier said that injustice and oppression can never be tolerated and hoped for Kashmir’s resolve as soon as possible. He appreciated Prime Minister Imran Khan’s untiring efforts for peace in Kashmir.
