New Zealand opener in the longest format of the game, Jeet Raval smashed a sensational century for Auckland. It came during the domestic One-day competition and one of the sixes hit during the innings was one of the most bizarre sixes you will ever get to witness.

Raval blazed his way past to 149 which came off 153 deliveries. The innings was studded with 10 hits to the fence and four gigantic sixes.

The second six struck by Raval was something which you won’t see often. The ricocheted off the bowler’s head and went over the ropes. The bowler in concern was Andrew Ellis.

Ellis was the sixth bowler used by Canterbury. He represented New Zealand on 20 occasions between 2012-13.

Jeet Raval stepped down the track and smash the ball towards the bowler. The umpire initially signaled a four but was quick to change his decision to a six.

The bowler was unable to raise his hand in time and the ball collided with his head. Raval rushed to the bowler to check on his condition.

Despite the hit, Ellis quickly passed a concussion test and returned to the playing arena. He came into the attack during the death overs and also bowled the final over.

Ellis finished with figures of two for 53 in seven overs. He later on added 12 runs with the bat. Auckland eventually made 304 for six in 50 overs.
