India tour of Australia Down Under in December is one of the much-anticipated cricket event in 2020. Premier Australia fast bowlers Josh Hazlewood is raring to go in the Test series but ahead of it, he wants enough practice with the red-ball. The series will mark the return for India and Australia in Test cricket after the pandemic enforced break.

Hazlewood said that the summer is becoming clear and hopes that the side gets enough red ball practice even if it comes against Australia A. He also added with the Test cricket resuming, it will help him to get back to his strides.

“The summer is becoming a bit clearer as the days go by and I’m sure we’ll get enough red-ball cricket before that first Test, whether it’s Australia versus Australia A or something like that,” he was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.

“I’m quite happy with just one long-form game, I feel like that’s enough for me to get up and running. That’s what I’ve done last five or six years, one Shield game and straight into the Test matches.”

India meanwhile will resume their international cricket against Australia with the traditional Border-Gavaskar series in December. It will be an important series for CA as they will look to recover from the loses incurred due to the halt in the matches. The board has also started preparing for the series and the Big Bash League (BBL).

The first of four-match series between Australia and India will get underway from December 3 in the bio-bubble. The final Test will conclude on January 7, 2021 which will be followed with a three-match ODI series.

India registered their first-ever series triumph Down Under during their last visit.
