SunRisers Hyderabad bought Afghanistan’s spin sensation Rashid Khan in the IPL auction, earlier in the day. The SunRisers franchise made good use of their ‘Right to match’ card and roped him for INR 9 crore from Kings XI Punjab. Spinners were in demand, as apart from Rashid, India’s Yuzvendra Chahal (INR 6 crore) and Kuldeep Yadav (INR 5.8 crore) were bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders respectively.

The Hyderabad side looked visibly happy, and they announced their prized cap on Twitter by saying that lots of biriyanis will be on offer for the youngster. Khan expressed his happiness in the microblogging site saying ” Great feeling to be back with SunRisers thank you for retaining can’t wait to rejoin the best company TomMoodyCricket, VVSLaxman281, davidwarner31, Murli Sir “.

Rashid’s rich form

Rashid has been in fine form and has dominated several T20 leagues over the past couple of years. He tasted success in the Caribbean Premier League and made batsmen dance to his tune in the Big Bash too. Ahead of the IPL auction, Rashid sounded excited according to The Advertiser.

“That will be interesting to see; it is big money”. I had a one-season deal so that I will go back to the auction. Hopefully, Sunrisers will take me to the auction. I did well for them,” the spinner said.

Rashid an inspiration

Khan has been an inspiration for the war-torn nation. He has not only helped his country progress but made the youngsters dream of a good future.

“There has been a good change over the past six years. Before there was no plans or education for young people but now there are schools and universities which is the biggest difference,” said Rashid. “The young generation now thinks we should do something for the country. It was very difficult at a time, but we were used to it. It is a good thing when someone is helping your country.” he concluded.
