India U-19 sensation Kamlesh Nagarkoti rewarded for his outstanding performance in the ICC U19 World Cup. Meanwhile, India lifted the title for the fourth time, as they beat Australia by eight wickets in the final.
Nagarkoti rewarded by Rajasthan Government:
Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje announced a cash award of Rs 25 lakh for Nagarkoti in her budget session. Also, Raje also praised Nagarkoti in her speech for his spectacular effort in New Zealand.
Earlier, BCCI announced a cash reward of Rs 30 Lakh for the cricketers. Rs 50 Lakh was awarded to head coach Rahul Dravid and Rs 20 Lakh to other support staffs. Meanwhile, Dravid expressed his reservation regarding the disparity in payment.

Nagarkoti’s performed impeccably well during India’s successful campaign. He returned with nine scalps and impressed one and all with his speed. He along with Shivam Mavi and Ishan Porel formed a formidable pace attack for India.
Nagarkoti touched 140kmph mark on a consistent basis and bowled accurately.
Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders roped him for the upcoming edition of the league. Nagarkoti bagged a hefty sum of Rs 3.2 crore making him one of the highest paid U19 cricketers.
In a recent interview, Nagarkoti revealed he is keen to make a mark in this IPL.
