Kamran Akmal Picks Himself In Pakistan's All-Time ODI XI

It would not be very wrong to say that Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal is one of the most trolled cricketers in the world in present times. The fans rarely waste a chance to make fun of Kamran Akmal and it looks like they have got another opportunity after the cricketer picked his all-time Pakistan ODI XI.

While there is obviously nothing wrong with picking an all-time XI, it is his choice of the players that is bound to make the fans have some fun at his expense. Generally, the players who pick the teams do not pick themselves up. However, Kamran Akmal being Kamran Akmal went against that practise and boldly included him in Pakistan’s all-time XI.

The out-of-favour wicketkeeper made it clear that he would pick only those players who he has seen in action. He picked legendary Saeed Anwar and current Pakistan batting mainstay  Babar Azam as his openers. Veteran Mohammad Hafeez was his pick for the number three batsman followed by his brother Umar Akmal.

Kamran Akmal then took some time before picking Shoaib Malik and Shahid Afridi at No. 5 and 6. He finished his long batting line-up with the allrounder Abdul Razzaq. He then had the big task of picking the wicketkeeper for the team and he boldly went on to pick himself. The right-handed batsman has not played for Pakistan since 2017. He is unlikely to get a recall anytime soon although he has done well in domestic circuit.

In the bowling department, he picked legendary pacers Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar. Former spinner Saqlain Mushtaq was the lone spinner in the team.
