A lot has changed since Kedar Jadhav hit the winning runs against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the opening game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on April 7.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are currently at the second position, as the league enters its final leg.

Jadhav, who scored unbeaten 24 runs in that game, suffered a hamstring injury that ruled him out of the competition.

However, the all-rounder will fly to Australia for surgery following hamstring, according to a report in Mirror.

The promising batsman was replaced by David Willey later on. The report also states Patrick Farhart, team India’s physio will accompany him (Jadhav) to Australia.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will cover all the expenses of Jadhav’s injury, as per the rules.

Board has every player insured and pays the monthly premium as per the same procedure.

Jadhav suffered the injury during the home series against Sri Lanka but proved fitness before South Africa tour.

The BCCI pays the full amount of losses to cricketers who miss out on playing in the IPL due to an injury suffered while being on national duty.

Jadhav, who has been a regular prospect in limited-overs squad, wasn’t picked for the ODI series against England Therefore he will look to be back in the fold ahead of the Asia Cup, which is slated for September.

Recently, Mark Wood also left the Chennai dugout to play in the English domestic competition – to develop his game ahead of England’s cricketing season.
