Kerala Fans Bash BCCI As Team Management Ignores Sanju Samson For 1st T20I

Team India will look to make a winning start as they play Bangladesh in the first of the three-match T20I series in Delhi. Meanwhile, the management decided to leave out Sanju Samson once again which didn’t go well with the fans and they lashed out at BCCI.

Samson came into the squad in place of Virat Kohli, who chose to take a break from the gruelling schedule. Sanju Samson has been among the runs and recently registered a double hundred against Goa in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

The Kerala batsman had earned his maiden call-up from the Indian team in 2014 for the England tour but could not play any game. He made his debut in the following year against Zimbabwe but is yet to play his second game. However, he has been a regular for India A and has scored runs consistently.

With Virat Kohli out of action, many hoped Sanju Samson to bat at three as India continue to experiment with the ICC T20 World Cup looming large. But the management persisted with KL Rahul, who went back to domestic cricket to find some form.

Rahul lost his place in the Test side owing to poor form and went to play for Karnataka in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The swashbuckling opener looked in superlative form leading his side to the trophy from the front.

While the management has shown trust on KL Rahul, fans of Sanju Samson seemed irritated with continuous exclusion. They accused BCCI of biasness as the Kerala cricketer continues to wait for his second opportunity.
