The South Africa-born England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has got special admiration to Jacques Kallis, who displayed high-quality skills in International Cricket. On occasion of his birthday, Kevin Pietersen sent a tweet to the all-rounder hailing him as the greatest cricketer.

Pietersen clearly mentioned that Kallis is the best cricketer of all the players he played during his times. Certainly, it didn’t go down well with the fans, as they have got their own idols and inspirations in the game of cricket.

He’s regarded one of the all-time great all-rounders of the game, who made 25,534 runs across all formats and also took a whopping 577 wickets. Jacques Kallis was named Player of the Year and Test Player of the Year at the ICC Awards in October 2005. In the 2007 World Cup, he was South Africa’s highest run-scorer, with 485 runs.

Kallis announced his retirement from international cricket in 2014 after aggregating 13289 runs in 1676 Tests and 11529 runs in 328 ODIs. In a career that lasted 18 years, Kallis bagged a total of 292 Test and 273 ODI wickets.
