Indian Women’s cricket team Twenty20 International captain, Harmanpreet Kaur had a superlative debut in the ongoing Kia Super League as she took her team, Lancashire Thunder home with a massive last-ball six in a nerve-jangling game.

Meanwhile, Indian women’s cricket is on a surge since the stinging 2017 World Cup final loss in England. While Smriti Mandhana is having a good time as well, Harmanpreet is not far behind.

Harmanpreet scored crucial unbeaten 34 runs to see her team through. Furthermore, she smashed a towering six in the last ball when her team needed four off just two balls.

Previously, Surrey Stars posted a fighting total of 148 runs in their quota of 20 overs. Natalie Sciver smashed an unbeaten 95 off just 57 balls to propel the team’s total after losing three wickets early.

The swashbuckling batter came to the middle in the 12th over with Nicole Bolton batting in full flow. The duo added 68 runs in seven overs for the third wicket before Bolton got out in the 19th over.

A couple of wickets followed in the space of four deliveries and the game shifted its momentum with eight needed off just three deliveries.

However, Harmanpreet hammered the fourth ball to the boundary to bring down the equation to four off just two. And the moment came when she came down the track as Laura Marsh pitched it in the leg-stump bowling round the wickets to launch it into the stands.

The crowd and her teammates erupted after the victory as Kaur’s partner Sophie Ecclestone hugged her in joy for finishing it in style.
