Kolkata Knight Riders [KKR] flexed their muscles as far as their fast bowling department is concerned as the trio of Shivam Mavi, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, and Pat Cummins below Rajasthan Royals top-order way to pave for the Dinesh Karthik-led team condemn the Royals to their first defeat of Dream11 IPL.
Chasing 175, Rajasthan Royals [RR] got off to a worst possible start as KKR’s fast bowlers- Shivam Mavi, Pat Cummins, and Kamlesh Nagarkoti ran riot. Pat Cummins got the first scalp as he saw the back of his Australian teammates Steve Smith with a brilliant delivery in his very first over.

All eyes were on Sanju Samson but Shivam Mavi once again displayed why he is such a highly rated young Indian bowler as he saw the back of both Samson and a dangerous-looking Jos Buttler.
Kamlesh Nagarkoti came in as first change and he took just six balls to stamp his authority on the game as he claimed both Robin Uthappa and Riyan Parag to leave RR reeling at 5-43 in 8 overs.
Rahul Tewatia wasn’t able to emulate his last game heroics and was dismissed by Varun Chakravarthy for a 10-ball 14 while Kamlesh Nagarkoti claimed a stunning catch to saw the back of Jofra Archer.
It was that sort of a day where you just couldn’t keep Kamlesh Nagarkoti out of the game. Besides taking two wickets, the prodigiously talented youngster once again why he is such a great athlete as he backed up his stunning catch of Jofra Archer with yet another good catch of Jaydev Unadkat.
In the end, Tom Curran’s maiden IPL 50 was the only saving grace for RR as they eventually went down by 37 runs.

Shubman Gill’s classy knock and a brilliant cameo by Eoin Morgan propelled KKR to 6-174 against RR
Batting first, KKR once again found themselves in a wobble as opener Sunil Narine continued to struggle with the short-pitch stuff delivered by Jofra Archer. Narine got a lucky reprieve as he was dropped by Robin Uthappa off the bowling of Jaydev Unadakat.
Narine looked like cashing in on the reprieve as he smashed Unadkat for a four and six in the next over. But, Unadkat had the last laugh as he knocked over the West Indian with a slower delivery.
Nitish Rana played some delightful strokes during his innings, forming a great foil to Shubman Gill, who continued from where he had left against the SunRisers. Gill played some classy strokes during his 34-ball 47. The duo stitched a 46-run-stand for the 2nd wicket before Rana once again squandered a good start when he holed out off the bowling of Shreyas Gopal in the deep.
KKR promoted Andre Russell to the No.4 spot and Smith immediately turned to his ace fast bowler, Jofra Archer [2-18 in 4 overs]. And, the move worked brilliantly as the fast bowler claimed both Gill and Dinesh Karthik [1] in quick succession.
Jofra Archer's figures right now:

Andre Russell smashed three sixes off Gopal and Ankit Rajpoot during his 14-ball 24 but for once, Dre Russ wasn’t able to continue with his onslaught as he holed out at deep-point while trying to nail a wide yorker from the fast bowler for a six.
But Eoin Morgan displayed why he is one of the great modern-day white-ball batters as his calm-and-collected knock, backed by contributions from Pat Cummins and Kamlesh Nagarkoti helped KKR to score 54 runs in the last 5 overs, eventually ending with 6-174 in 20 overs.
Here’ how Twitter reacted to KKR’s stunning win over RR:
An excellent victory this for @KKRiders. A huge confidence booster! The batsmen did well to post a target of 175 and then the bowlers and fielders did exceptionally well to clinch this emphatic win! Super performance all-round!#InsideOut #KKRvRR #KKRvsRR #IPL2020
— MANOJ TIWARY (@tiwarymanoj) September 30, 2020
Most emphatic from @KKRiders First Russell in early. Second Cummins to start. Third Shivam and Kamlesh abd Varun. Now just Morgan ahead of DK and let the skipper finish. Most boxes ticked tonight for them. And Gill is the class act at the top.

Not a bad day for young Nagarkoti! 2 wickets, a crisp boundary at the end and a seriously good catch. Hopefully he will continue to repay the extraordinary faith that @KKRiders have had in him

20-21 yr old fresh Indian pacers rocking it for #KKR tonight – #Mavi & #Nagarkoti, both with a couple of wkts each?? #RR languishing at 9 ovs, 50-5 chasing 174
Boss #SRK must be super proud and thrilled of his lads! #RRvKKR

Nagarkoti, Mavi and Gill… KKR has made wise investment in young Indian talent.

Kamlesh Nagarkoti could be in the Trent Boult category of fast bowlers who are elite fielders. What a catch. #KKRvRR

And I have to say this: when they were injured @KKRiders and @VenkyMysore made sure Kamlesh and Shivam were taken care of. Was sent to London for treatment. The franchise protected them and now the dividends are at hand. @IPL well done @iamsrk
— Boria Majumdar (@BoriaMajumdar) September 30, 2020
It’s been 2 years in the making waiting to see Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nargakoti together again. Great compliment to Venky Mysore and and @KKRiders for staying the course with these two young men.
— Ian Raphael Bishop (@irbishi) September 30, 2020
#KKR invested in Mavi and Nagarkoti despite their injuries. Few franchises would have carried two injured unproven bowlers. Now its their turn to pay them back in this season.
— Saurabh Malhotra (@MalhotraSaurabh) September 30, 2020
Disappointing to see #RR’s top order collapse, how wonderful to see #KKR’s young pace bowlers Mavi and Nagarkoti succeed!
— Cricketwallah (@cricketwallah) September 30, 2020
Unlike most franchises that go for an Indian-heavy batting core (Delhi Capitals rebuild for example), #KKR have an Indian bowling core. Mavi, Krishna, Nagarkoti and Kuldeep isn’t too old either.
It’s a different long term strategy and it’s marvellous! #IPL2020 #RRvKKR

Next 10 overs – 92 for 4#KKR finish with 174 for 6 from their 20 overs. Will it be enough against an in-form #RR outfit?https://t.co/1BBkakI4Ng#IPL2020 #RRvKKR— Cricbuzz (@cricbuzz) September 30, 2020
