The batsman from Karnataka, KL Rahul will be looking to join the legendary names like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma by scoring the remaining 26 runs to register 1000 runs in T20I form of the game. In the absence of Shikhar Dhawan, Rahul is set to open the innings for India in the upcoming three T20I games against West Indies, which will give him a fantastic opportunity to complete the gap.

The flamboyant batsman would like to achieve the feat right in the first game of the series in Hyderabad. Rahul will be hoping to return to form and put his best foot forward in the curtain-raiser. If he manages to score 26 runs in the first T20I, Rahul will become the seventh Indian batsman to score 1000+ runs in the shortest format.
