KRK Predicts The Winner Of World Cup 2019

World Cup 2019 is now just seven days away from coming to an end. The twelfth edition of the tournament has lived up to its expectations. The four semifinalists and their position in the points table was decided right at the end of the group stage. In the end – India, Australia, England and New Zealand. India finished at the top of the heap, followed by Australia, England and New Zealand.

Australia had the chance to finish at the top when they locked horns against South Africa in their last group game.  Just hours before Australia’s game ended, India had thrashed Sri Lanka by seven wickets to take the pole position. Indian bowlers came up with another fine effort to restrict Sri Lanka to 264 despite a century from Angelo Mathews. In-form Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul then struck centuries as India chased down the total without much trouble.

Australia had the chance to reclaim the top spot. However, they ended up losing the game by 10 runs and finished second. Chasing 326 for victory, Australia started poorly and were reeling at 95 for 3. It looked all over for them at that stage before a sublime ton from David Warner gave the defending champions hope of a win. Wicketkeeper Alex Carey blasted his way to 85. However, Australia kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were eventually all out for 315.

New Zealand have been training hard at Old Trafford ahead of their semi-final clash against India.

India will now take on New Zealand in Manchester while Australia will lock horns with their Ashes rivals England in Birmingham. Only time will tell who will make it to the final. And ahead of the two semifinals, Bollywood critic and actor Kamaal Rashid Khan aka KRK has revealed his predictions. The controversial figure took to Twitter to state that India and England will win their semifinals before the hosts would beat the Men in Blue.
