Krunal Pandya Speaks on the Influence of Rahul Dravid and MS Dhoni

The most common name one would listen from any youngster, who is receiving the maiden call-up would be Rahul Dravid. The former legendary cricketer has been doing the thankless job for the country by producing scintillating performers. Meanwhile, Krunal Pandya also credits Rahul Dravid and speaks on his experience with MS Dhoni.

Of late, the youngsters, who came from Rahul Dravid school of cricket has been doing amazing things at the highest level. Right from Rishabh Pant to the recent Prithvi Shaw, all are delivering the goods despite facing the world-class players.

The stylish all-rounder has got the luxury to spend his time with MS Dhoni in the recent past. Speaking of the experience, the youngster added he was in awe of MS Dhoni during the seven-day period that he spent with him. Krunal showered words of praise on the former skipper for his simplicity as well.

Further, Krunal Pandya highlighted the inputs given by Rahul Dravid and his success mantra. Krunal Pandya has spent his significant time with Rahul Dravid, as he is the regular player in India A team of late.

“I was there for a very short time. I was with the India ‘A’ team there, before I was called up into the squad. I observed Mahi Bhai (MS Dhoni) closely during those six days. I told myself: ‘I want to be like him.’ The way he carries himself, his simplicity, grace, he’s achieved so much, but is so down to earth,” Krunal Pandya quoted.

Rahul sir’s input has been of great importance

“His inputs have been of great help. He told me that: ‘If you’ve to be a consistent performer, you’ve to play according to what the situation demands, rather than playing your natural game.’ He has told me to back myself to stick to hitting the big shots since I have the ability to do that,” he added while speaking to Cricbuzz.

However, it has been great last few months for Krunal Pandya. Recently, he got appointed as the skipper of Baroda and now, earned the call-up to represent India in the upcoming T20I series against the Windies and Australia.
