Kuldeep Yadav, on Thursday, finally returned to India’s T20I squad for the upcoming series against West Indies. In the recent past, India tried out different spinners as they look to form their strongest squad for next year’s T20 World Cup in Australia. Talking about Kuldeep Yadav, the left-arm spinner has not played a T20I since the series in New Zealand in February.

Since that series, India tried out other options. The likes of Mayank Markande, Rahul Chahar and others got the chance to make their marks. But with not much time left before the T20 World Cup gets underway, India have finally recalled Kuldeep Yadav. The chinaman spinner has been the stand-out performer for the team with the white ball in the last couple of years.

He will be keen to hit the ground running against West Indies. The left-arm spinner will all but seal his place in the team for the T20 World Cup if he delivers again. The much-awaited series will get underway from December 6. Following the conclusion of the three T20Is, both the teams will lock horns in a three-match ODI series.

Kuldeep Yadav excited:

Kuldeep Yadav, meanwhile, did not waste much time in expressing his delight after being given the opportunity to reunite with his spin partner Yuzvendra Chahal. Both the spinners have not played together since the semifinal of the World Cup in July. They were a part of the ODI squad for the series against West Indies in August but did not play together.

And as soon as Kuldeep learned that both he and Chahal have made it to the squad, he took to Twitter to express his excitement, writing:

“Back again ✌? @yuzi_chahal #kulcha”
