Kuldeep Yadav: Virat Kohli Never Fails To Motivate Young Players

You can take out cricket out of Kuldeep Yadav but you cannot keep an artist away from his art. Left-arm chinaman Kuldeep Yadav has used his terrace for net practice, by the Ganges, during the lockdown period where cricketers are not privileged enough to use the grounds. Cricket and training aside, he is also confined to his paint brush, to bind time in the lockdown.

Kuldeep Yadav has been a frontline spinner for India ever since his Test debut against Australia in Dharamsala. He was asked to pick up five-wicket by then Team India head coach Anil Kumble but his four wickets were enough to put him on track as a reliable spinner for the national team. Kuldeep has ever since then paired up with his fellow wrist spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has wreaked havoc in unison on the international stage.

Kuldeep Yadav has emerged as a spin specialist for Team India overshadowing veteran Ravichandran Ashwin with the likes of his wrist-spinning partner Yuzvendra Chahal. Apart from painting, Yadav is, constantly in touch with his coach and analysing his skills through video sessions.

“If your captain believes in you, giving your best on the field becomes easy. From Virat, we learn a lot of things like how to manage difficult situations. He never fails to motivate young players,” Kuldeep Yadav said IANS.

“I remember when I was new in the team he backed me a lot. In fact, now also, he is always there for me. He always appreciates your skills and we have a great tuning together,” he further added.

Yadav, 25, has picked up 24 wickets in Tests, 104 in ODIs and 39 in shortest format of the game so far in his career.
