We’ve Got To Get Used To It: Lalchand Rajput On Zimbabwe Playing In A Bio-Secure Bubble

Lalchand Rajput, Zimbabwe Cricket Team’s head coach, wants his players to embrace cricket’s new paradigm as they embark on their journey to playing in a bio-bubble for the very first time.

Zimbabwe is currently in Pakistan where they will square off against the Men in Green in a series consisting of three One-day International followed by as many T20Is in Rawalpindi between October 30-November 10.

Both the rubbers will be played behind close doors amidst a bio-secure bubble created by the PCB, and Lalchand Rajput feels that the experience of playing in such an environment will come in handy for his players

“We’ve got to get used to it,” Lalchand Rajput, who is not traveling to Pakistan, told Reuters from Harare.

“It will make it easier when we play the next team easier because of the experience.” he added.

This will be Zimbabwe’s first of their 2023 ICC Men’s ODI World Cup Super League, ajs Lalchand Rajput feels that it is the right time to blood in youngsters in an aging team.

”We are going to try and push some youngsters into the team. Hopefully the youth take the opportunity and grab the match experience how to prepare, how to go about the game.” Lalchand Rajput added.
