Former South Africa all-rounder Lance Klusener is currently with the South Africa team touring India for the three-match T20I and Test series. Recently, Klusener revealed that he is happy with the progress of young fast bowler Navdeep Saini.

Meanwhile, the current assistant batting coach of South Africa worked with the Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) last year. Lance Klusener has worked with a number of young talents from Delhi. Moreover, the former Proteas cricketer has worked closely with Navdeep Saini, the young India pacer.

Saini impressed in the Indian Premier League for Royal Challengers Bangalore last year. Since then, he has fast-tracked to the Indian team making his debut against West Indies last month. Klusener heaped praise on the Delhi pacer saying that he has not seen many Indian bowling over 150 kmph.

“I am so glad to see Navdeep Saini being recognized. You don’t see many in Indian cricket who can bowl at 150 kmph,” Klusener said to TOI.

Furthermore, Lance Klusener stated that Navdeep Saini has the hunger to bowl quick. He also recalled how the fast bowler worked on his fitness and always was eager to learn more. Saini is also a part of the T20I squad for the three-match T20I series against South Africa.

The tall and lanky fast bowler has already impressed in his debut series against West Indies. Navdeep Saini has bowled fast and quick and has troubled the batters with his swing.

“I think he has wonderful action which is very clean and smooth. He is superbly fit as well. But while chatting with him, I realized he is hungry to bowl at 150 clicks and above,” Klusener concluded.
