Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed said he had always tried to bring the best out of the team in every format of the game. In addition, Sarfraz dismissed all the speculations of burden by the captaincy roles.

Pakistan recently lost the ODI series in New Zealand. However, they came back stronger to reclaim the T20 series.

It’s an honour:

Sarfraz insisted it’s an honour for him to lead the Pakistan side. He also admitted to giving 100 percent while enjoying the game.

It is a great honour for me that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed me as captain in all the three formats and this [responsibility] in no way is burdening me,” Sarfraz said.

I have always enjoyed playing cricket in every format. Also, I tried to produce my best and bring the best out of the national team [as captain],” he added.

Sarfraz disappointed with ODI loss:

Sarfraz rose to fame after leading the team to the ICC Champions Trophy title. However, he seemed disappointed with the loss. Further, according to him, the batting order did not click.

We could have won at least two ODIs [in New Zealand]. But in the end, the result went against us. The batting, which has some flaws, did not click according to our plans,” Sarfraz said.

Recently, former cricketer Moin Khan asked Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to extend Sarfraz Khan’s tenure for another two years.

Sarfraz was named Pakistan’s ODI captain on February 9 last year after Azhar Ali stepped down from the role.
