Lungisani Ngidi Pays the Final Tribute to His Father

South African speedster Lungisani Ngidi will surely go through one of the toughest phases in his life. The fast bowler has lost his father and his spontaneous reaction came out on his twitter handle. Remembering his father he wrote, “My hero is now an angel R.I.P.” It will indeed be a very difficult phase in the life of a pretty young man. He is just 22 and has a bright career ahead of him. However, he will need to recover from the personal disaster and come back stronger.

Ngidi is part of the Chennai Super Kings squad in the ongoing Indian Premier League. However, he is yet to make his debut for the yellow brigade. Despite bursting on to the scene with impressive performances for the national team, Ngidi failed to attract many bidders. Super Kings bought his services for just Rs 50 lakhs which were his base price.

Ngidi was born on March 26, 1996, at Durban. It was in the largest city in KwaZulu-Natal. He is a tall and lanky speedster who recently troubled the Indians during the Test series a few months ago. His broke into the international circuit against Sri Lanka during a 3 match T20I series in January 2017. He made an immediate impact and finished the series with 6 wickets at a sensational average of 7.33 and a miserly economy rate of 5.50.
In his very first encounter against the Lankans, he bagged the Player of the Match Award. He received the award courtesy a sensational spell of fast bowling. He ended with brilliant figures of 2/12. His best bowling figures, however, came in the next match when he claimed 4 wickets for just 18 runs.
In the Test series against India, he ended up bagging 6 wickets in the 1st innings of the Centurion Test. It also earned him the Man of the Match Award.
