It has been a sensational match for Mayank Agarwal so far. The flamboyant batsman is making most of the opportunity, as he kept on bagging the crucial runs for his side with his amazing strokeplay. During the course, the youngster achieved quite a few records to his name.

In particular, he became the fourth Indian cricketer to convert his maiden Test century into a double hundred. Previously, Dilip Sardesai, Vinod Kambli and Karun Nair have achieved the similar feat. Off them, Karun Nair went on to score triple hundred for the Indian National Cricket Team to etch his name in the record books. The highest score to convert maiden century is registered in the name of Gary Sobers, who scored 365* against Pakistan.

Mayank Agarwal is 23rd Indian to hit a double century:

After a single half-century on the tour of West Indies, Mayank Agarwal walked in to open the innings with Rohit Sharma thus the pair became only the third in Indian cricket history to add 300 for the opening wicket of a Test innings.

After Rohit Sharma dismissed for 176, Mayank Agarwal stayed strong and became the 23rd Indian to score a double century in Test cricket.

Mayank Agarwal had played his first Test in Australia at the MCG. It was an eventful debut, as he started his career with a gutsy 76 and a fluent 42 as India won by 137 runs.

Agarwal followed those scores up with another fine 77 in the next in Sydney before scores of 5, 16, 55 and 4 in the 2-Test series against the West Indies.

Playing his first Test in India, Mayank Agarwal showed why he is unstoppable in Indian conditions. He first added a record 317 for the opening wicket with Rohit Sharma before he saw Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli depart for scores of 6 and 17 respectively.

Well, it would be interesting bro see whether the youngster will follow his dear friend Karun Nair route in converting his maiden century into triple century.
