The state associations invited by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to view the IPL final on November 10 will have to undergo a one-day quarantine as compared to the six-day period that players had spent before beginning the competition.

One representative from each of the 34 state associations is set to travel to Dubai to witness the IPL finals between November 08-10 at BCCI’s expense.

The reason for such a short duration of quarantine is that the officials will not be a part of any bio-bubble and will not be traveling to Abu Dhabi, where there is mandatory 14-day isolation.

For a person coming from India to Dubai, he/she will have to return a negative Covid-PCR test 96 hours before traveling. Upon arrival to Dubai, the person will undergo another Covid test and if that too comes out to be negative then the person is free to go out after 24 hours.

The same rule will apply to BCCI officials, which include president Sourav Ganguly, secretary Jay Shah, treasurer Arun Dhumal, and joint-secretary Jayesh George who will be traveling to Dubai on November 03 to attend the Women’s T20 Challenge, which is set to take place between November 04-09.

Due to safety and cost factors, the BCCI has invited only one person from each state association, which will also include Hyderabad Cricket Association President, Mohammad Azharuddin.
