MI vs PBKS: Watch - Jasprit Bumrah’s Searing Yorker Ends Liam Livingstone Stay At The Crease

Jasprit Bumrah bowled a searing yorker that ended Liam Livingstone’s stay at the crease a very short one in the Mumbai Indians (MI) vs Punjab Kings (PBKS) match in the IPL 2022 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on April 13, 2022.

Rohit Sharma of MI won the toss and chose to bowl first, a norm in the ongoing Indian Premier League tournament. Ramandeep Singh made way for Tymal Mills in the MI side, while PBKS went in unchanged.

PBKS got off to an excellent start with Mayank Agarwal and Shikhar Dhawan adding 97 runs for the first wicket. Mayank scored his first half-century as Punjab Kings captain making 52 in 32 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes to his name. Shikhar Dhawan also scored a fifty.

Then MI came back strongly with two quick wickets as Jonny Bairstow was clean bowled by Jaydev Unadkat for 12 runs, and then came the big wicket of Liam Livingstone.

Liam Livingstone Gets His Stumps Shattered After Jasprit Bumrah Gets His Yorker Going

On the 3rd ball of the 15th over, Jasprit Bumrah sent down an inswinging yorker which shattered Liam Livingstone’s stumps. The England batter was too slow in bringing his bat down on the delivery and heard the death rattle behind him. He played 3 balls and made only 2 runs. It was a huge wicket for the Mumbai Indians, given the devastating form he has been in.

Mumbai Indians have come into this match looking for their first win in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) edition as they are at the 10th spot in the points table. They have lost their first four matches, their worst start to an IPL season since IPL 2015, when they managed to turn things around and went on to win the tournament.
