With Harbhajan Singh urging former Australia skipper Michael Clarke to come out of retirement in order to bolster the weak Australian batting, the latter has come up with a brilliant reply. Harbhajan asked Clarke to don his batting gloves once again after Australia suffered yet another defeat in the third One-Day International on Sunday (September 24).

The world champions, who were looking primed for a big total after racing to 224 for 2 in the 38th over, once again failed to put up a good batting performance as another middle-order collapse saw them scoring only 59 runs in the last 10 overs. Consequently, the posted 293 in the allotted 50 overs which India chased down with quite ease to seal the series.

Sensing an opportunity, Harbhajan, who had a fiery relationship with the team from Down Under, took a dig at Steve Smith & Co. as he jokingly appealed Clarke to come out of retirement.

Well, Clarke took a while to respond to Harbhajan’s tweet but made up for it with a brilliant reply. The World Cup-winning captain, who retired post Ashes 2015 from Test cricket, has now become a commentator and said that he is happy to spend his time in the air-conditioned rooms, making it clear that he does not want to face the rigours of the cricket field again.

“I have only just seen this buddy. These old legs of mine are enjoying the air conditioned commentary box ?✌️Aussies have some work to do!,” Clarke tweeted.
