Sachin is an obvious choice because of the class he possesses with the bat. He has registered more than 33,000 runs across all formats which included a record number of 100 international centuries. The former Indian cricketer who is acknowledged for his numerous contributions towards the game of cricket is also called the God of Cricket.

MS Dhoni comes as the second cricketer on Vaughan’s list. Dhoni is noted as one of the best captains ever to lead an Indian team. He also had two World Cups under his belt. He had scored more than 9000 runs in the limited-overs format and had earned himself a name of a finisher.

Third on the list is current Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, who has evolved as a cricketer over the years and has gone to a different level. Kohli has brought in a lot of changes in the mindset of Indian cricketers. As a batsman, he is currently one of the best batters in the world dominating every form of the discipline.

Vaughan picks the swashbuckling Virender Sehwag as the fourth cricketer on his list all-time greats. Known for his attacking style of play, Sehwag has amassed 8000 runs each in both Test and ODI format, including 38 international centuries.

Virat Kohli scored a hundred against South Africa in Centurion.

Ajit Agarkar is fifth on the list; however, this remains as a surprise pick. However, his numbers speak a lot in his favour. Apart from picking up 58 Test wickets and 288 ODI wickets, the all-rounder also holds the record for scoring the fastest fifty by an Indian player, in just 21 balls.

Agarkar was the fastest to reach to 50 ODI wickets during his time and was also quickest in terms of matches to complete a double of 200 wickets and 1000 runs.
