Michael Vaughan perhaps has been trolled or slammed by Indian fans more times than the number of centuries he had scored in international cricket.
If the former England skipper had won over the Indian fans by lauding Virat Kohli and praising the Indian team on several occasions, he had also faced their ire for every time he criticised any Indian player or the Indian team.
Well, the former batsman once again attracted the wrath of the Indian fans when he criticised the fans after they chose MS Dhoni over Jos Buttler when he conducted an online poll.
Vaughan ran a poll on the basis of the current form of the two wicket-keepers and asked fans to choose the best one.
“Intrigued what you all think…You are allowed 1 of these 2 now in your team… Who you going for on present form ! – MS Dhoni or Jos Buttler??” Vaughan asked on Twitter.

Dhoni won the polls by a huge margin, getting 61 percent of the total votes. However, it did not go down well with Vaughan, as he wrote:
“Note to self …. Never run a poll asking people to choose an England player over an Indian Player on here … !!!!! “

Vaughan ran the poll on Twitter after Buttler smashed a brilliant century to guide his team to a 3-0 series-clinching victory over Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday. Buttler faced 83 balls and hit six fours and four sixes in his match-winning 100-run knock.
The fans, meanwhile, were in no mood to let go the Ashes-winning skipper, as they slammed him for comparing Dhoni with Buttler.
Talking about current form.
Jos might have scored a century recently but MS averages 60.62 in 2017. Hope that answers your “current form”. Let’s not talk about stumpings here. Before u blink your eye, he stumps the batsman on the field.— Jay Jadwani (@diehard_msdian) January 22, 2018
