Former England skipper Michael Vaughan just cannot stop taking shots at Sanjay Manjrekar. The Twitter banter between the two a couple of days ago took a frosty turn with Manjrekar blocking Michael Vaughan. The former England batsman himself tweeted about the news, saying that Manjrekar has blocked him on Twitter.

The episode started when Michael Vaughan jumped in with his views following Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja slamming Manjrekar. Jadeja had slammed Manjrekar on Twitter, asking the latter to stop his verbal diarrhoea. Jadeja did not specify the context of his tweet but the reason was very clear. In the wake of the defeat to England in the World Cup, Manjrekar had spoken about Jadeja’s chances in the playing XI.

Jadeja had not played a single game till that game and Manjrekar had then stirred up a controversy by calling the allrounder a ‘bits and pieces’ cricketer.

“I am not a big fan of bits and pieces players which Jadeja is at this point of his career in 50-over cricket. In Test matches, he is a pure bowler. But in 50-over cricket, I would rather have a batsman and a spinner,” Manjrekar was quoted as saying by news agency IANS.

Ever since Jadeja slammed Manjrekar, Michael Vaughan did not waste any opportunity to take a dig at Manjrekar. He did it again when Jadeja castled Henry Nicholls in the semifinal on Tuesday at Old Trafford. Vaughan took to Twitter saying, “Bloody hell Bits and Piece can spin it.” But this time, Manjrekar ended up blocking him on Twitter.

Michael Vaughan has now posted yet another message for Manjrekar and this time he risks riling up the Indian commentator once again. The England star asked Manjrekar to unblock him but used a hilarious morphed image of Manjrekar for the same. Michael Vaughan took to Instagram and posted a doctored image. He used the recent viral picture of India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal resting near the boundary ropes and wrote:

“Come on Sanjay unblock me on Twitter … It’s only Bantz … !!!! #India”
