Mitchell Starc Delivers A Cracking Yorker To Dismiss Yasir Shah - Watch

When you hear about the term ”Yorker” in the game of cricket, mostly, you will hear only a few names being repeated by the cricketing fanatics. One of those star bowlers is Mitchell Starc, who time and again delivered the goods for his side across the formats. In the latest, he bowled a scintillating yorker to Yasir Shah, who got no answers whatsoever.

The incident took place in the first Test match between Australia and Pakistan at the Gabba. It was in the first over after taking the second new ball by Australia on Day 1. Right in his 4th delivery, he produced a magical yorker, which brushed the pads of Yasir Shah before knocking out the off-stump of the batsman.

As it happened:

Earlier, it was Pakistan, who won the toss, elected to bat first on a beautiful Gabba wicket. Both the openers Shan Masood and Azhar Ali looked pretty much settled in the middle by knocking down Australian fast bowlers with ease. The duo added 75 runs for the first wicket before Pat Cummins removed Masood to draw the first blood.

From 75/0 to 78/4, a little spell of fantastic bowling completely changed the complexion of the game. However, Asad Shafiq stood tall at one end for the team while Iftikhar Ahmed failed to make things fall in place. Just when everything looked in control for Australia, Mohammad Rizwan played a cameo by scoring 37 runs off 34 balls before Cummins got the better of him.

However, Asad Shafiq got the helping hand in the name of Yasir Shah, who scored 26 off 83 balls. The duo added 84-run partnership before Mitchell Starc delivering the peach of the deliveries. He was quickly followed by Shaheen Afridi on the next ball when Mitchell Starc got the edge of him.

A couple of boundaries in the end by Asad Shafiq helped Pakistan to score 240 runs on the board. Mitchell Starc was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets while Pat Cummins bagged 3 wickets. Josh Hazlewood chipped in with a couple of wickets while Nathan Lyon finished with one scalp to his name.
