The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) is all set to witness an international game when the Virat Kohli-led Indian National Cricket Team lock horns with West Indies Cricket Team at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on December 6th. It will also be the first game for Mohammad Azharuddin as an administrator after being elected as HCA president in September this year.

Meanwhile, India batsman Ambati Rayudu had recently accused Hyderabad Cricket Association of “rampant corruption” and urged Azharuddin to “isolate himself from the seasoned crooks” and clean up the mess. Further, he also asked the local politician to involve in the issue to sort it out as quickly as possible.

Mohammad Azharuddin while speaking to the media, faced questions regarding the latest concern raised by Ambati Rayudu over politics in Hyderabad Cricket Association. However, the HCA president doesn’t want to take away the focus from the upcoming T20I game between India and the West Indies, which will take place in a week.

I will address other things later – Mohammad Azharuddin

Speaking further, Mohammad Azharuddin stated that he would call for another press conference after the conclusion of the T20I game, where he would like to answer all the questions related to corruption in Hyderabad Cricket Association. For now, he is very much involved in organising the International game in Hyderabad.

“Since this is a T20 game which we are holding, I don’t want to take anything away from the game. I want you to report only on this game, focus on the T20 game. I am sure you must have come very well prepared. After the sixth, if there is anything, we will have another press conference. I will address the other things which have been happening in the recent past,” Azharuddin said.

“I think we are fully prepared. It’s very a tough thing to hold a match. Since it’s my first match as an administrator … when I was playing, I used to play the game and go back home or go back to the hotel. But, this thing, it’s is a different responsibility,” Mohammad Azharuddin said to reporters.

Initially, Hyderabad was assigned to host the final game of the 3-match series. But, due to security reasons, Mumbai and Hyderabad swapped their dates to organise the game more smoothly. Now, the first T20I will be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on December 6th while the second T20I is scheduled at Thiruvananthapuram on December 8th. Wankhede Cricket Stadium in Mumbai will host the final game of the series on December 11.
