Hafeez to play for Middlesex
Meanwhile, de Villiers has taken a short break from the ongoing tournament. The former South African will be back ahead of their penultimate league game against Hampshire on August 29. Middlesex is currently second in the points table after Sussex in the South Group. They have won six matches out of the nine games played and have secured 12 points. AB de Villiers was in scintillating form showing why he is one of the greatest in the business. They are in line to progress to the quarterfinals with five ties left.
Mohammad Hafeez is likely to join the Lord’s based county ahead of their Blast game against Essex on August 14. The 38-year-old all-rounder took to Twitter to announce that he is looking forward to representing Middlesex in the T20 Blast.
“Thanks #Canada @GT20Canada, really enjoyed my time here , Time to to go to next destination #London @Middlesex_CCC,” Hafeez tweeted.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Hafeez was a part of Pakistan’s World Cup-bound team. The veteran all-rounder didn’t have a good outing as his side failed to make it to the top four of the competition. Owing to a poor show, Pakistan Cricket Board didn’t award him the central contract. Meanwhile, the cricketer has already announced his retirement from Test but has expressed his desire to represent his country in the limited-overs cricket.
Recently, he was part of the Edmonton Royals in the recently concluded Global T20 League in Brampton, Canada. He has been in fine form and will hope to replicate his show for Middlesex.
