Pakistan’s young pace sensation Mohammad Hasnain in a recent interview, opened up about the two world-class batsmen he’d like to dismiss one day. Despite his young age, the 19-year-old said he will try to get better of India’s skipper Virat Kohli and Australian stalwart Steve Smith.

Both Kohli and Smith have been very crucial for their respective teams in the past.

The duo is even heralded by experts as a part of ‘fab-four’, the top four batsmen in the world, apart from England Test skipper Joe Root and New Zealand captain Kane Williamson.

However, Hasnain, who made his debut for the Pakistan national team in March 2019, is already dreaming of scalping the wicket of Kohli and Smith.

The right-arm pacer, in a recent interview with Cricket Pakistan, opened up about his dream.

“If I play against India or Australia, I will try to give my best and get the wicket of Virat Kohli and Steve Smith as it will benefit the team,” Hasnain said.

Getting the wicket of Smith will be a relatively easy task as compared to Kohli’s, as India and Pakistan do not any bilateral series, and only play each other at International Cricket Council (ICC) tournaments and the Asia Cup.

The promising fast bowler in his interview, further added that only plays to benefit the team, rather than achieving personal milestones.

Hasnain stated, “I do not target a specific batsman as all batsmen are the same for me, so I try to pick as many wickets as possible.”

Teenager like Hasnain has well and truly lit up the Pakistan Super League (PSL), having amassed 14 wickets in eight matches for Quetta Gladiators. He is currently the highest wicket-taking bowler in the division.
