Mohammed Shami's Brother Denies Hasin Jahan's Allegations

Mohammed Shami brother, Mohammed Hasib Ahmed has denied Shami’s wife, Hasin Jahan’s allegations.

It is known the Kolkata Police probe Mohammed Shami along with his brother. Shami’s wife had raised complaints against Shami’s four family members.

The Indian pacer was interrogated for almost three hours by the Kolkata police before he was permitted to leave. Mohammed Shami is representing Delhi Daredevils in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League.

The right-handed bowler was held in Kolkata after Delhi Daredevils match against Kolkata Knight Rider on April 16.

Shami was able to rejoin the Delhi Daredevils squad after the police had given him a green signal.

It is known Shami, and his brother got probed separately by Neeloo Sherpa (Chakraborty), Deputy Commissioner of Police, detective department, and Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime), Pravin Tripathi.

It is reported that Shami and his brother have said the allegation levied against them are untrue.

“We have recorded their statement, and they claimed that all the charges made against them by Jahan are false. We are exploring all allegations including the Dubai part. We have not yet decided whether to take the statement of Pakistani girl Alisbah,” Tripathi was quoted as saying by News18.

After probing Shami and his brother, Pravin Tripathi notified they would also question Shami’s mother Anjuman Ara Begum and his brother’s wife, Shama. Both of their names are also there in the FIR.

“Our investigation in on and soon Shami’s mother (Anjuman Ara-Begum) and Ahmad’s wife (Shama) will be questioned. Our team will go to Uttar Pradesh to record their statements. Their names are also in FIR,” he added.

Tripathi further added there is no restriction on Shami, as he can play for Delhi Daredevils in their next encounter against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The Police officer added they could once again question Mohammed Shami.

“There is no restriction. He can continue with rest of the matches, but he will be examined again. We have not seized his passport. As far as the video recording of his statement is a concern, I will not be able to disclose the investigation part. We have got no objection in Shami joining his IPL side. But if need be, we will call him again,” Tripathi told reporters.

Surprisingly, Hasin Jahan had come up with the plethora of charges against Mohammed Shami and his family in March.

The fast bowler was given a green signal to play in the IPL after Anti Corruption unit of BCCI cleared him off the charges.
