Mohinder Amarnath's Trained Priyanshu Hits 556 in a Two-Day Fixture

Of late, the teenagers in the Indian cricket are raising all the eyebrows of the cricket fanatics. Recently, we came across Pranav Dhanwade scoring over 1000 runs and then it was Prithvi Shaw, who made his debut at the age of 18 years. Meanwhile, Priyanshu, who is mentored by Mohinder Amarnath scored a brilliant 556*.

The exceptional knock came in the Shri DK Gaekwad Under-14 tournament, which has always helped Baroda to grow their budding cricketers. In a two-day fixture between Mohinder Amarnath Academy and Yogi Cricket Academy, Priyanshu knocked an unbeaten 556* to his name.

Speaking of the innings, Priyanshu credited his coach for the success. Meanwhile, Mohinder quoted Priyanshu is a fine talent and has a bright future if continued the same in the game.

“My previous highest was 254 in the same tournament last year. I was just playing my normal game as the bowling attack was good. It was a satisfying inning, but yes, I was beaten on four to five occasions. “After my first hundred on Monday, I told myself that I need to score 200. I set goals of 100 runs each and was determined to continue playing the same way,” Priyanshu told mid-day from Baroda yesterday.

“When I saw him for the first time, I knew I was seeing something special. He is a fine talent and he will get better with exposure. I like his passion as well,” Mohinder told mid-day last night.

Priyanshu delivers an all-round performance:

The youngster had knocked 408 runs on the day one of the game and then, went on to add 148 on the day two to score a massive 556* to his name. His incredible innings registered as many as 92 boundaries and only one six.

The knock helped his side to post a massive 826-run tally on the board. In reply, Priyanshu once again headlined his name by bagging four wickets. The brilliance of him and the rest of the bowlers saw Yogi Cricket Academy fold out for mere 52 runs on the board.

Meanwhile, Yogi Cricket Academy was asked to follow-on the innings, where they once again bundled put for 84 runs on the board. The incredible effort by Priyanshu earned him a man of the match and handed a victory for Mohinder Amarnath Academy with a margin of an innings and 689 runs.
