Security has been increased at former India skipper MS Dhoni’s farmhouse in Ranchi following rape threats to his five-year-old daughter Ziva. The threats came after Chennai Super Kings’ narrow ten-run loss to Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing IPL 2020.

Following the game, the trolls recently targeted MS Dhoni’s five-year old daughter. The trolls gave threats of rape and physical violence to the little girl while venting their frustration over her father’s indifferent display on the field. The threats allegedly appeared on MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi’s Instagram accounts.

Taking cognizance of the matter, the police has beefed up the security at the player’s farmhouse. Police said that besides increasing patrolling, some personnel in civil clothes have also been deployed near his farmhouse to keep a close vigil on suspicious elements.

“Cricket should only be seen as a medium of entertainment, but people are going beyond it, keeping others modesty on stake. This is really unfortunate,” said JSCA Vice President Ajay Nath Shahdeo.
