MS Dhoni is My Idol Since Childhood Days - Afghanistan's Afsar Zazai

Afghanistan Test wicketkeeper Afsar Zazai said that India’s former skipper MS Dhoni is his idol since the childhood days. Like many other, Afsar Zazai is the fan of MS Dhoni’s calmness on the field. In fact, Dhoni has been an inspiration to the all the wicketkeepers. Furthermore, Dhoni is well known for his sedate attitude on the field.

He ever hardly lets the match situations to get the better off his emotions. Dhoni has always taken the most crucial decisions of the Indian cricket while wearing a cool head on his shoulders. Thus, Dhoni has been able to reap fruits for his brave decisions which have paid off for him and the team as well.

Dhoni has been an inspiration to many.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan gloveman Afsar Zazai is currently playing in the Afghanistan Premier League. Thus, Zazai is looking forward to having a good season.

“He (Dhoni) has been my idol since childhood. I like his coolness. His attitude on and off the field is remarkable,” he said while speaking to Sportstar.

Zazai is plying on his trade for Kabul Zwanan in the Afghanistan Premier League. The wicketkeeper will play under the leadership of Afghanistan’s premier spinner Rashid Khan.

Zazai is hopeful that Afghanistan Premier League will be a success as he feels the UAE crowd will come to catch them in action.

“Lots of Afghan people, who live in the UAE, had come to support at the recent Asia Cup in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. I hope those fans come for the APL matches too,” the 25-year-old added.

Afghanistan Premier League will be enlightened by star players like Brendon McCullum and Chris Gayle. Thus, they are going to be the cynosure of all eyes. Meanwhile, Afsar Zazai has played 16 One Day Internationals for Afghanistan. Furthermore, he has played a solitary Test match as well as one T20 International for his country.
