India A and Under-19 coach Rahul Dravid believe that as a coach he should not comment who should play and who shouldn’t in the ICC World Cup 2019. There has been a long discussion that who should be India’s first choice wicketkeeper-batsman in the ODI showpiece. Meanwhile, MS Dhoni is going to be India’s preferred stumper as he has all the experience in the world.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant has also impressed with the bat. The combative southpaw had grabbed his opportunity with both hands in the red ball version. Pant had scored 350 runs in the four-Test match series against Australia, as he was the second highest run-getter in the series. However, Pant is yet to grab his chance in the white ball format.

Dhoni will be the first choice wicketkeeper.

On the other hand, MS Dhoni had returned back to form in style. Dhoni has tonnes of experience under his belt and his return to form is a big boost for the India National Cricket Team.

“As a coach of the India U-19 team, I should not be commenting on who should be included. Everyone is same for me. All I will say is that Dhoni has incredible experience and he has been playing very well in the past few months. Rishabh is definitely an exciting young player and he has got the talent,” Dravid told TOI.

Meanwhile, Rahul Dravid believes if the selectors feel they can select two wicketkeepers, they can go for it. However, the best players should be selected for the World Cup squad.

“If the selectors feel, two wicketkeepers can play. The best 15 should be in the team,” the legendary Indian cricketer further suggested.

On the other hand, the number four conundrum has manifolded for the India National Cricket Team. However, Dravid said that he should not comment on who should be selected as it would create favouritism.

“Like, I said, I cannot be commenting on that. I am coaching 10 boys and all of them are fighting for a place in that squad. I cannot publicly pick one particular player,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, there is no doubt that MS Dhoni is going to be India’s first choice wicketkeeper-batsman. Dhoni is going to play a key role in India’s World Cup success.

India will begin their World Cup campaign against South Africa at Southampton on June 5.
