The Indian chief selector MSK Prasad has revealed the idea to give the young blood their chances in the team. Players like Prithvi Shaw, Shubman Gill, Khaleel Ahmed, and Rishabh Pant have got their opportunities in the recent past. Most of these young talents have grabbed their chances with both hands. In fact, these players are the future of Indian cricket and it is crucial to give them the exposure to the International stage.

MSK Prasad believes it is crucial to have the amalgamation of experience and youth in the side. The prodigy players can learn their lessons from the veteran players. The young players bring the new energy and it is crucial for the team to groom the rookie players.

Prasad believes the young generation of players has all the maturity under their belt. The young players are exposed to the pressure situations and they are showing an upward swing in their improvement graph.

MSK Prasad said while talking to Times of India, “To win mega events we need to have the right mix of experience and youthful exuberance. I am sure our committee will strike that balance. Youngsters who have reached this level know exactly what is expected of them. In today’s world, players are exposed to so many pressure-filled tours and tournaments prior to getting into the national squads. They are much more seasoned and mature than earlier”.

Rishabh Pant has made an impressive entry to the red ball version. Pant was the second highest run-getter on the Australia tour as the southpaw batsman scored 350 runs in the series.

On the other hand, Prithvi Shaw scored an impressive hundred on debut against the Windies. Shaw has shown the promise to be the future of Indian cricket. However, he was injured on the tour of Australia.

Shubman Gill has scored a truckload of runs in the domestic circuit and he is a player to watch out for the future. Furthermore, Khaleel Ahmed has also impressed in his young career. Thus, it is pivotal to give these players their well-deserved opportunity at the topmost level.
