Mumbai Indians bowling coach Shane Bond in positive about his side ahead of their playoffs. The defending champions maintained their dominance in the IPL 2020 and are set to host Delhi Capitals in the Qualifier 1 on Thursday. Mumbai Indians have looked like a formidable side in IPL 2020.

The team looks sorted as far as their playing XI is concerned. Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock at the top with Suryakumar Yadav at one down makes it a brilliant top-order. Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya are the finest all-rounders on the international circuit while the likes of Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah make the bowling attack lethal.

Every team knows that Mumbai Indians can do some damage: Shane Bond

Bond said that having a player like Kieron Pollard in the setup is a big positive for the side. He also added that it puts the team in a strong position. The former New Zealand fast bowler is of the opinion that Mumbai Indians is the team to beat in IPL 2020 and no team will want to compete against them.

“You do not want to see you tailenders bat and our top order is scoring runs some big runs. I think the bonus from the batting point of view is Kieron Pollard got to face 20 balls and whacked it,” said Bond in a virtual press conference.

“So it puts him in great shape for the finals. I think our batting lineup is as good as any other team has in the tournament.

“Our bowling line up is also as good as anyone in the tournament and I think we are the team that no one really wants to play because they know we play well and we can do some damage. We have won tight games and that makes a huge difference,” he added.

Mumbai Indians completed the preliminary round with most points.
