The absence of Shakib Al Hasan will be a major thing for the next one year for Bangladesh Cricket Team. He is their prime batsman and always a match-winner for the team across the formats. Mentioning the same, the wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim and the experienced lad Mashrafe Mortaza shared an emotional message to their dear friend.

You Come back like a champ Shakib Al Hasan – Mushfiqur Rahim

Mushfiqur Rahim posted an emotional message for teammate Shakib Al Hasan as the latter was banned for two years by International Cricket Council (ICC) for failing to report corrupt approaches on numerous occasions. One year of Shakib’s ban is suspended and he will be able to return to the sport on 29 October 2020.

Rahim recalled the days he spent with the southpaw across all the age-group cricket. He mentioned that playing without his presence in the field is a tough one for him. However, Mushfiqur Rahim hopes Shakib Al Hasan to make a solid comeback once the ban concludes.

“Age level.. international… over 18 years of playing cricket together… very sad to even think about playing without you on the field. Hoping that you come back soon like a champ. You always have my support and the whole of Bangladesh. Stay strong In Sha Allah,” Rahim wrote on Instagram with a photo of him hugging Hasan.

Further, the fast bowler Mashrafe Mortaza quoted that it would give him a few sleepless nights. However, he is sure that Shakib Al Hasan will make a comeback to help Bangladesh play the final of the ICC World Cup 2023.

Bangladesh’s star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was on Tuesday handed a ban at least till October 29, 2020, by the International Cricket Council for failing to report three corrupt approaches, including one during the IPL by a suspected Indian bookie.

The one-year ban that he has to serve will keep him out of next year’s Indian Premier League and also the World T20 to be held in Australia from October 18 to November 15 the same year.
